The character of North Lake Tahoe is enhanced by the fact that the region spans both California and Nevada.  However, in a time like this, that lends to some extra challenges for our region.  Both states (and a number of counties) are diligently working through this pandemic. The business community is eager to welcome guests in a safe environment. With an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities, culinary offerings, locally owned shops, gaming entertainment and more, each business sector has been working tirelessly to provide a safe and healthy experience for both residents and guests.

Restaurant and Business Updates

Allowances and restrictions are changing regularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic so please check business websites or give them a call for specific information on operations and modifications as things continue to change rapidly.

Restaurants and retail businesses are now open. Throughout the region, most restaurants are offering takeout services.

Outdoor Recreation in North Lake Tahoe

Not only is getting outside to enjoy nature allowed, but it’s encouraged – nature has a way of restoring the soul.  All outdoor recreation is open in North Lake Tahoe.

And most importantly, plan ahead! Practice road and weather safety. Be aware of winter weather advisories and make sure you’re prepared with 4-wheel drive or chains and an emergency kit in your car.

Casinos and special events are going strong in North Lake Tahoe. Please check with the facility event producer before you go to find out if they have any masking or Covid-19 regulations.
