Boreal Ski Resort, based in Soda Springs, is considered the best valued all-mountain terrain centre of Lake Tahoe. The 380-acre resort managed by Powdr Corporation offers a number of snowing activities for both adults and children alike. It comprises of crisscrossed 41 trails serviced by three triple-chairs, three quad-lifts, one double-chair, two magic carpets and a single moving carpet for the Playland tubing park. Besides this, it also has a wide assortment of rails, funboxes, and jumplines. The attractive feature of the mountain is it offers night riding/skiing which can be conveniently accessed during any time of the year. For the benefit of visitors, the entire Boreal terrain is categorized into various levels, 30% is marked in green for beginners, 55% in blue for intermediates, 15% in black color for professionals and also has lanes for traditional type sledding.
