Treasure #9: Snowshoeing and Cross Country Skiing at Spooner Lake
Beautiful Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park – Spooner Lake has a 5km system of meandering trails winding through dense forest, across an open meadow and along the banks of Spooner Lake. The trail system is made possible by a partnership between Nevada State Parks and Nevada Nordic, a non-profit group based in the Tahoe Basin.
The scenic, intermediate trail includes varied flat and rolling terrain. There is an entrance free for the park. Spooner Lake is located near the intersection of Highway 50 and 28.
